Personality;

Jade is a man who tends to hide his feelings under a collected exterior and a slight smile. He can be quite blunt, giving him the appearance of being stern and intolerant of ignorance or selfishness. Despite this, Jade also has a very playful personality, and often delights in using his dark humor, sarcasm and deadpan wit to relentlessly tease the people around him. Jade may seem like a cynical character, but it is clear that his desires coincide with the good of other people. Jade is both a genius and a colonel, making him capable of taking command, but he often opts to sit back and let others perform the manual labor for him. To those who don't know him, Jade may seem like a dangerous man, firstly because of his reputation and secondly because of his habit of cracking dark jokes with a straight face.

History;

Jade was born in a far-off, cold region known as Keterburg. He was known as Jade Balfour as a child, a genius and a devil who couldn't comprehend the significance of life and death. When he was nine, he created fomicry (the technique of replicating objects and even people) by replicating a doll of his sister's that he had broken. Jade was able to use the First through Sixth Fonons as a child (most people come into this ability when they're older) but had no access to the Seventh. He was awed by ex-Locrian Sergeant Gelda Nebilim who was able to use the Seventh Fonon, and studied under her for a while with his childhood friends. Because he was both an ambitious and a curious child, Jade one day decided to experiment to see what would happen if someone with no access to the Seventh Fonon attempted to use it. The results were disastrous; the experiment accidentally killed Professor Nebilim and burned her house to the ground. Shortly after, Jade was adopted into the wealthy Curtiss family and was sent on a pilgrimage to Daath. Later, he moved to Grand Chokmah, joined the army, and easily worked his way up to becoming the colonel of the Malkuth Imperial Army. Currently he also serves as the confidante and the right-hand man of his childhood friend and the emperor of Malkuth, Peony IX.

Jade is also often referred to as Jade the Necromancer, and there are rumors of him ravaging the corpses of fallen men on a battlefield. Although this rumor has not been confirmed (Jade actually even seems to enjoy the added mystique), it is acknowledged that Jade is also the author of several books.
